The new Thin Portal® Series
includes one- and two-sided RFID structures that offer space-saving
footprints less than 6" x 24". Units include powder-coated steel
mounting plates and side trims and can be free-standing or easily
stand against walls. Two-sided units can accommodate a reader and up
to eight antennas.
"The units can come as plug n' play," said Don Lee, Chief Engineer
at Industrial Portals, "Or bolt on your reader and antennas, and
everything else is there. It accommodates all major brands of RFID
equipment." The Thin Portal uses ABS covers and offers optional
light dome and motion sensor. The vacuum-formed covers are easily
removable, and are available with an optional clear window for quick
visual analysis of the reader. "The Thin Portal units are more
aesthetically-pleasing than our heavy-duty warehouse portals, and
are perfect for retail outlets, data centers, and office
environments," said Don Lee.
Openings for power and IP are made available on both sides at the
top or bottom of the unit. The unit is powder-coated in a high-gloss
finish or can be made in paint-grade steel. For free-standing units,
a 3/16" steel base plate is included with pre-drilled holes to mount
to the floor. Optional protective bollards are available as well. |
