CompTIA Cybercast
Focuses on Readying Organizations for RFID Deployment

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- CompTIA, the
Computing Technology Industry Association, this week will hold the
fourth in its series of Web-based cybercasts on challenges,
opportunities and strategies related to radio frequency identification
(RFID) technology.
"Getting Ready for RFID: The User Speaks" will detail the RFID
deployment experience at American Power Conversion, a leading provider
of global, end-to-end solutions for real-time infrastructure. Richard
Morrissey, director, e-business strategy at APC, will discuss his
experience in readying the company for RFID.

The presentation is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. CT Thursday, November 18.
The cybercast is free for CompTIA members and $45(US) for non-members.
CompTIA, through its Electronics Industry Data Exchange (EIDX)
Leadership Group, is engaged in several RFID initiatives for the
computer, electronics and information technology industries. One of
these initiatives involves a working group tasked with developing
supply chain business process models that incorporate RFID and
identify potential return-on-investment at points along the supply and
distribution chain.
